This research established a significant increase in reading, writing, and math
achievement among students in schools that intensively used the West Virginia
Basic Skills/Computer Education program. The authors also found that this
technology program was instrumental in reducing class size and especially
effective at boosting achievement among low-income, rural, and female students.
